ACLS
- This ACLS Provider course is designed to teach students the life saving skills necessary to manage an acute cardiac event or cardiac arrest. The program is designed for providers who are expected to treat critically ill patients and are required to obtain ACLS certification based on employment or licensing requirements.
- Students will be tested following the prescribed criteria: Adult CPR and AED, Basic and Advanced Airway Techniques, and MegaCode Team Dynamics based on scope of practice.
- Upon Successful completion of the course, students will receive an American Heart Association ACLS Provider eCard that is valid for 2 years. All eCards are typically emailed out to students the same day of the class.
BLS
- This course is designed to meet Part 1 (HeartCode BLS Online class), Part 2 (practice) and Part 3 (Testing) of the HeartCode BLS on-line program. This skills session will cover the practical component required by the American Heart Association to receive a BLS Provider eCard.
- Students will need to present their certificate from part one of the class, and will then be tested following the prescribed criteria including adult, child and infant CPR; one and two rescuer CPR; foreign body airway obstruction, mouth-to-mask and bag mask ventilation, and use of an automatic external defibrillator.
- Upon Successful completion of the course, students will receive an American Heart Association BLS Provider eCard that is valid for 2 years. All eCards are typically emailed out to students the same day of the class.
